2003 yılından itibaren National Geographic Türkiye Dergisi ile başlayarak, yurt içi ve yurt dışındaki yayın organları için serbest fotoğrafçı olarak çalıştı. 2004’de İsveç Enstitüsü’nün ve Konsolosluğu’nun bursuyla Nordens FotoSkola Biskops Arnö’de eğitim gördü. 2010’da Marmara Üniversitesi’nde İletişim Bilimleri Yüksek Lisansı’nı tamamladı, 2014’de Doktora programına kabul edildi.
‘Varoşlar’ Projesi, 2001’de İfsak 17. Uluslararası Fotoğraf Festivali’nde; “Gece Vardiyası” başlıklı projesi, 2005’de 9. İstanbul Bienali Konukseverlik Alanı’nda, 2008’de İtalya Sardunya’da Menotrentuno-II Fotoğraf Festivali’nde, 2009’da İtalya Sassari Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi’nde sergilendi, Çin’de Marie Claire China ve Vision China Dergileri’nde yayınlandı. 2010’da Kuratör Yumi Goto tarafından “Asian Women Photographers Showcase” için seçilerek Angkor Fotoğraf Festivali, Tokyo Metropolitan Müzesi, Hindistan, Pakistan, Singapur, Çin ve Nepal’de sunuldu, Londra Slideluck Potshhow’da “Son 5 Yılın En İyi Fotoğraf Serisi” listesine seçildi. Türkiye’de Fotoğrafevi İz Dergisi’nde yayınlandı, 2013’te İstanbul Yunan Başkonsolosluğu Sismanoglio Megaro ve Enka’da “İkinci Göz Türkiye’den Kadın Fotoğrafçılar” Sergileri’nde yer aldı.
‘Tersine Göç’ konulu fotoğrafları, 2010 yılında önce İstanbul Modern Sanat Müzesi’nde, ardından Moskova Uluslararası Fotoğraf Bienali’nde ve Selanik Uluslararası Fotoğraf Bienali’nde sergilendi.
İlk kitabı VEFA, 2010 yılında Fotoğrafevi Yayınları tarafından yayımlandı.
Beşiktaş Belediyesi’nde Fotoğraf Eğitmenliği yaptı, özel fotoğraf dersleri verdi.
AKSANAT, Kırk Haramiler, İFSAK gibi farklı kurumsal yapılarda tematik fotoğraf atölyeleri düzenledi.
Since 2003, she has worked as a freelance photographer for publications in Turkey and abroad, starting with National Geographic Turkey Magazine. In 2004, with the scholarship of the Swedish Institute and Consulate, she studied at Nordens FotoSkola Biskops Arnö. In 2010, she completed her Master's degree in Communication Sciences at Marmara University and was accepted to the PhD program in 2014.
Her project "Slums" was exhibited at İfsak 17th International Photography Festival in 2001; her project titled "Night Shift" was exhibited at 9th Istanbul Biennial Hospitality Area in 2005, Menotrentuno-II Photography Festival in Sardinia, Italy in 2008, Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari, Italy in 2009, and published in Marie Claire China and Vision China Magazines in China. In 2010, she was selected by Curator Yumi Goto for the "Asian Women Photographers Showcase" and presented at the Angkor Photography Festival, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum, India, Pakistan, Singapore, China and Nepal, and was selected for the "Best Photography Series of the Last 5 Years" at the Slideluck Potshhow in London. In Turkey, she was published in İz Magazine, and in 2013, she participated in the "Second Eye Women Photographers from Turkey" Exhibitions at the Greek Consulate General Sismanoglio Megaro in Istanbul and Enka.
Her photographs on 'Reverse Migration' were first exhibited at Istanbul Museum of Modern Art in 2010, then at Moscow International Photography Biennial and Thessaloniki International Photography Biennial.
Her first book VEFA was published by Fotoğrafevi Publications in 2010.
She worked as a Photography Instructor at Beşiktaş Municipality and gave private photography lessons. She organized thematic photography workshops in different institutional structures such as AKSANAT, Forty Thieves, IFSAK.
